    Overview & History:

  • C5 is a leading provider of wireless accessories to dealers, distributors, retailers, agents, and airtime carriers throughout the USA.  C5 is both a manufacturer and distributor, and we have created a variety of product lines totaling over 1000 items designed to appeal to the widest possible spectrum of wholesale buyers.
  • In addition to our products, we support our customers with a wide assortment of Value Added Services, including private labeled products, customized retail packaging, displays, dedicated account representatives, sales training materials, and an e-commerce website which supports both B2B and B2C services.
  • Our company was formed in 1996, as MTU Wireless and in our beginning we offered a wide assortment of the highest quality aftermarket products bearing the MTU name. In 1999 MTU Wireless signed an agreement with Nokia USA to manufacture & distribute the first fully licensed faceplate program covering the 5100 series and subsequently the 3300 and 3500 series platforms.   In 2001, MTU Wireless became AleEv, Inc. and expanded our licensed faceplate manufacturing program to include select Motorola handsets.    AleEv, Inc. has been operating as C5, dba for AleEv, since 2004.  Throughout the years, AleEv, Inc. has continued to grow the OEM offerings and our C5 branded portfolio offering of accessories including vehicle power adapters, carrying solutions, and other accessories to meet the ever growing needs of our customers.

  • C5 has partnered with many quality and reputable suppliers and vendors for years and is well positioned and represented in the industry.

    Products and Services:
  • We source, design, create, market and sell a series of accessory product lines that appeal to all categories of wireless resellers.  C5 also provides a complete fashion accessory portfolio offering, and sells both OEM and aftermarket accessories.
  • Our current product lines are called “Standard, Premium and Rugged/Industrial Strength.” 
  • The majority of our aftermarket products are manufactured in China, Taiwan and Thailand.
  • Our product lines are sold along with comprehensive sales and marketing programs, and a series of value added services designed to separate and distinguish us in the minds of wireless resellers.  With an in-house graphic department, standard and customized packaging and back cards can be provided.  Standard two and three-piece blister packaging is available.
  • With C5 located in the central region of the USA, timely and efficient delivery is experienced by most, if not all, of C5’s customers.  C5 can deliver its products via UPS to all or part of 15 states within two business days and all or part of 37 states within three business days.  With FedEx, C5 can deliver its products to all or part of 18 states within two business days and all or part of 44 states within three business days. 
  • C5 leverage’s UPS, FedEx and LTL carriers in order to optimize its freight charges for both its wholesale and retail operations.

    • Typically, orders placed by 2:30PM CST are shipped same day
    Property and Facilities:
  • C5 owns a total of 1.3 acres and 20,000 square feet of building space in Arlington, TX.  Arlington is a suburb of Dallas, and C5 has owned this property since 1996. 
  • Our facility is divided into 6,000 square feet of office and administrative space, and 14,000 square feet of warehouse pick, pack, ship and quality control.  Lean processes and detailed quality assurance is recognized and implemented in all of C5’s operations.  

    Customers
  • Our active wholesale customer database consists of more than 700 independent dealers from one-location mall kiosks to multi-store locations.  These independent dealers provide over 2000 points-of-sale, with the majority of them located in the central region.  Additionally, C5 independent sales representatives also increment sales supporting the wireless and trucking industries. 
    Employees
  • C5 employs approximately 40 full-time workers divided into sales, credit, customer service, graphic design, purchasing, product development, MIS, quality control, operations, and warehouse pick, pack and ship.  Our five-person senior management team has been with the company from one to eleven years, with most managers having over ten years industry experience.
    Intellectual Property:
  • We seek to protect our intellectual property through a combination of confidentiality agreements, non disclosure agreements, non compete agreements, independent representative agent agreements and patent protection when appropriate.
    Future of C5:
  • C5 is cash flow positive; both the short-term and long-term futures look very promising.  Short-term, C5 is currently negotiating contracts with key national distributors and could soon be master distributors for each respectively.  Long-term, C5 is negotiating with many OEM’s for distribution of their products and services.  Dallas has historically provided talented and educated people, and this ensures that C5 will continue to hire and develop quality and astute individuals.
